Darlene K. Beer, C.P.A., M.S. in Taxation

Darlene K. Beer serves as the firm’s Director of Tax.

Prior to joining R. Kuhen & Co., Inc. in 2010, Darlene worked with Ralph Kuhen at Hein & Associates LLP for 14 years specializing in both public and private clients in a variety of industries. Prior to Hein & Associates, Darlene spent six years at Ernst & Young LLP.

Armed with over two decades of experience, Darlene provides expert perspective to entrepreneurs in need of tax planning and general consulting services.

Darlene specializes in tax planning and compliance for privately held businesses, owner managed businesses, family owned businesses and high net worth individuals. Darlene’s experience with regional and international accounting firms has given her broad experience, including restructuring, entity planning, compensation planning, retirement planning, consolidated tax returns and general tax compliance issues. She has also executed several I.R.S. and F.T.B. audits with successful outcomes.

Darlene received a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 2001, and earned her B.S.B.A. from the University of Southern Colorado.

Darlene is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Tax Division and the California Society of CPAs.

Darlene is dedicated to continuing education and continually attends relevant courses to update and expand her expertise.
